Collection: Pedestal Dining Tables

Pedestal dining tables stand on a central base instead of four corner legs, so chairs slide in anywhere and there is more room for knees. About half of ours have round or rounded tops, and about a quarter use a double pedestal to carry a longer top. Most run from about 47 to 79 inches. Solid wood accounts for about half, with marble, glass and stone tops among the rest, and black, brown, natural and white are the main finishes. Allow about 24 inches of table edge per person, and leave about 36 inches between the table and the walls so chairs can slide back.
