Collection: Glass Coffee Tables

Glass coffee tables keep a living room feeling open, since clear glass lets the eye travel through to the rug below. That also puts the base on show, so choose it as carefully as the top: most of ours pair glass with iron, steel, aluminum or other metal, and close to a third bring in wood, from double-pedestal bases to wood tops set on clear glass sled bases. Rectangular tops lead and round ones follow, with square, oval and a few free-form designs too. Sizes run from about 21 to 60 inches along the longest side, with plenty at 45 inches or more for a long sofa. About half are described as clear glass and a smaller group as mirrored glass for extra shine, and many list tempered glass tops. For remotes and magazines, some add a shelf, drawers or storage.
