Standing desks let you change position through the day, and every desk here is listed as height adjustable. Most have steel frames, and the tops are mostly about 48 to 60 inches wide, with a few L-shaped models for corners. Black is the most common finish, on about three in four, followed by white and gray. For a comfortable setup, set the height so your elbows rest at about a right angle when you type, and keep the top of the screen near eye level. Check each listing for how the height adjusts and for its lowest and highest settings, and leave room behind the desk to step back.
