Collection: Solid Wood Console Tables

A solid wood console table works behind a sofa, in an entryway or under a wall-mounted TV. More than half of ours are mango wood, with some acacia, and brown is the most common finish, followed by black, chestnut and natural. About a quarter have a distressed finish. About a third have a lower shelf or shelves, and about one in five has drawers, useful for keys and mail by the door. Most are 34 to 72 inches wide, with 54 and 60 inches the most common, about 30 to 32 inches tall and 12 to 19 inches deep. Behind a sofa, choose a table no taller than the sofa back.
