About two thirds of these dining chairs come in sets of two, and most are side chairs, with arm chairs making up about three in ten. Nearly all are upholstered: faux leather is the most common, followed by fabric, velvet, linen, boucle and faux shearling, often tufted, on wood or steel frames. Gray, black, brown and beige lead the colors, many in two-tone combinations, and some chairs have gold legs. You'll also find open back, ladder back, slat back and wingback designs, plus a few Windsor, cross back and rattan chairs. Check seat height against your table: about 10 to 12 inches between the seat and the tabletop is comfortable for most people.
